Let’s look at a practical example.
We were challenged to help create a new game-changing offering. The goal? Granting a Pre-Paid Card to those who would never be able to access it for three reasons: no account with traditional banks, low income, and/or market credit restrictions. But that’s not all. The FinTech also aimed to reduce their client’s expenses with bank transfers and enable them to use the charged money for thirty days until payment was made to partners who accepted the Pre-Paid Card.
Initially, the challenge was to build a new system that would be integrated with others for issuing the cards. Until this FinTech became itself the card issuer with significant cost reduction and logistical optimization.

Joint multidisciplinary teams that do not see a separation between one company and the other. A team of strategists, developers, engineers, designers, quality assurers and agile leaders, both from Invillia and FinTech, studied the market, idealized, tested, and deployed the Pre-Paid Card. And continuously improved it:
- Recharge at product launch was done within 24 hours. It was necessary to reduce it to 1 hour. Something very complex because the supplier did not have a structure to support FinTech’s requests. With code adjustments for asynchronous processing and multiple attempts control, the goal has been reached and currently 97% of the daily volume (around 130 thousand on average) is processed within not 1 hour, but 1 minute. The product was very well accepted by the market and the growth had an unexpected volume.
- This volume was so high that it began to impact response time. This required the team to react quickly to create monitoring and assistance mechanisms, as well as to design and execute a migration strategy for a microservices approach. All implementations were made while the service was used and scaled by customers, and while there were several exchanges of suppliers and parallel initiatives. Such as replacing all physical cards and creating new products aggregated to the Pre-Paid Card.
In order for everything to run smoothly, the relationship between all the interlocutors was strengthened and became closer than ever. From there, the Invillia-FinTech team had full autonomy to plan, validate and execute the necessary actions.
Thanks to all this customer-centric collaborative work powered by high-performing, high-passionate and high-engaged teams, the Pre-Paid Card turned into the second-largest source of revenue for this FinTech and the largest success case in the world in this area.
But the game-changing innovation story doesn’t end here. Far from that. With these huge results, Visa contacted the company, offering a significant and undisclosed contribution to also issue their cards. A new team was created for this purpose and a new project began to make it the authorizer of Visa transactions, eliminating significant costs. A volume of more than R $ 1 Bi/month was recorded.
This strategy was what enabled it to take the next step, to be transformed into a Digital Account, to become a FinTech. To be what it is today.
The limit? There’s no such word in this long-term partnership. There’s no such word in visionaries.
