How is AACD serving thousands of disabled patients with Invillia? A 10-year relationship and donation platforms story

How is AACD serving thousands of disabled patients with Invillia? A 10-year relationship and donation platforms story

10 YEARS INNOVATING TOGETHER IN A NOBLE CAUSE

With more than 880 thousand appointments, 2 thousand employees, 1 thousand volunteers and 61 thousand orthopedic products delivered per year, AACD is a non-profit organization focused on guaranteeing excellent medical and therapeutic assistance in Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. Donations are the basis of its activity. And technology is the main enabler. And it was precisely in this area that AACD had several problems. It was not well structured, either in terms of processes or platforms and responsibilities. A new approach was needed to harness its power for the benefit of the community. To simplify donations and their management. But not only, AACD was looking for a new tech partner that could support them 360º, contribute with an innovative and audacious mindset, and have forward-thinking. That’s when Invillia came in. Since 2011, Invillia has been AACD’s dreamer and maker in the technology area. Idealizing, developing and evolving their donation platforms and systems. One of the maximum exponents is the SBT solidarity marathon, Teleton. The most recent edition brought an additional issue: to keep everyone connected and engaged while away due to the moment we live in.

CHALLENGE

To provide the medical-therapeutic care that people with disabilities need, AACD relies on contributions from individuals and corporations. So, it was necessary frontoffice and backoffice digital platforms to simplify and accelerate the entire process, both for donors and employees. Intuitive solutions, with a great user experience and enriched over time.

“Every year we overcome new challenges and bring new features and integrations to our donation platforms. All of them are powered by Invillia and have been really successful. We never had any problems again, which was a point ‘sine qua non’. On the contrary, we have never been able to surprise and innovate as much as in our joint journey with Invillia”, highlights Victor Kaspar, ICT Manager at AACD.

The main challenge during this last year was related to the SBT program, which concentrates 40% of AACD revenue and enables almost 200 thousand medical appointments. You can imagine its cruciality. How to run, manage and support an event with such an impact at a time of social distance? How to do everything digitally and remotely?

SOLUTION

With a dedicated team working closely with AACD and connected through our Global Growth Framework, Invillia creates, monitors and continuously improves AACD’s core technologies. Data, People and Action driving a win-win partnership. Among them is Teleton that raises one-off donations, and systems known as Maintainers, where it is possible to make contributions on a regular basis (frontoffice) as well as to manage all donors and donations, and integrate data from other channels and applications (backoffice). Everything is done to keep the donations gear at maximum strength.

According to Victor, “Invillia has been a precious help in the pursuit of our mission, giving us incredible digital power. The donation platforms are now very feature-rich and there is no room for anything manual. Drastically accelerating donation workflows and enabling us to better serve our patients. We have more time to focus on what really matters”.

And then there’s the SBT event. One of the innovations of the last edition was social engagement with top digital influencers. Hashtags to encourage donations and its integration to track the origin. This resulted in an increase of more than 40%.

And the other one… Instation.

WHEN AWAY IS DIFFERENT FROM DISTANT

Invillia prepares the SBT event a few months in advance in alignment with AACD’s marketing and technical area, revamping the portal according to each year’s strategy and making stress and vulnerability tests. On the “D-day” there’s always a team on-site ready to address any possible incident.

But now it would have to be different. Invillia presented its virtual collaboration tool – Instation – to AACD and the enthusiasm was immediate. Decision taken, time for action. A customized War Room was created, functioning as digital backstage. Connecting and centralizing all the interactions, demands, support and analyses in real-time. Technology, motivation and dedication together. And with an excellent social mobilization: almost 27 million reais raised.

“Two people were at AACD office engaging with Invillia through Instation. It couldn’t have gone any better. Congratulations on the tool, it has also a perfect fit for this type of initiative. It gave us all the confidence, as teams were always available. It had a fundamental role so that we could manage the program in a smooth way, with all the requirements met. Reinforcing that it may be the solution for years to come. Very efficient and with less risk”, explains Victor.

RESULTS

Today AACD has sophisticated technology that facilitates donations while its management is fully automated and agile. Innovation never stops and new approaches are continually being suggested and adopted.

During SBT Teleton, proximity and attention to detail were decisive for the high availability, security and performance of the donation platforms even at the highest peaks. The 35,000 simultaneous accesses and level of transactions proved its robustness.

Data analysis has also been instrumental in continuous improvement. For example, by tracking the flow of donations, it’s possible to identify at what stage there may be bottlenecks, people giving up for some reason, and making the necessary adjustments.

“The relationship with Invillia is very good, a true partnership. They are totally committed to our purpose and don’t simply wait for our requests. They always manage to encourage us to go further, bringing new ideas, provocations. And making them happen”, concludes Victor.

FUTURE

The strategy for the future is to seek new forms of funding throughout the year with the support of technology. Easily, quickly, digitally and at the lowest possible cost. To attract a new generation, with the support of influencers. A new audience that values social responsibility, who also wants to be part of this movement. And this is the path that AACD and Invillia will take together, thinking and transforming noble visions into outstanding solutions. To continue improving the quality of life of children and adults with physical disabilities across Brazil.
